Why this route

A journey with a clear sense of pace.

The route adds Tarangire’s elephants and baobabs to the crater and Serengeti, creating three distinct safari landscapes.

This route brings the northern parks together in a sequence that offers changing landscapes and a broad safari experience. Tarangire and Lake Manyara add contrast before the Ngorongoro highlands and Serengeti, rather than asking one park to deliver everything.

The key is pacing. We plan transfers alongside wildlife time, choose accommodation that suits each stop and avoid adding visits simply to lengthen the list. The Serengeti stay is positioned around your month and interests. For a first Tanzania safari, this is a useful starting point if you enjoy variety; we can simplify it if you would prefer fewer moves and longer stays.

Every journey is tailor-made. We adjust the route, camps and balance of nights around your dates and interests.

When to go

Let the season shape your safari.

This works throughout the year. Tarangire is particularly strong in the long dry season, while the southern Serengeti comes into focus during calving season.

April and May usually bring the long rains. Green-season travel can suit some travellers, but we check access, camp availability and the time needed for road transfers before recommending it.

These are broad seasonal patterns. Weather and wildlife movements vary from year to year.
