01

When is the best time for a Tanzania safari?

June to October is the main dry season and broadly excellent across Tanzania. January to March is especially rewarding on the southern Serengeti plains. The best month still depends on the parks, wildlife and coast experience you want.

02

How long should a Tanzania safari be?

Seven to ten nights works well for most first journeys, normally using two or three safari areas. Add five to seven nights for Zanzibar, Pemba or Fanjove if you want a proper beach stay.

03

Can you guarantee a Great Migration river crossing?

No. Herd position and crossings are governed by rainfall and animal behaviour. We choose the most appropriate Serengeti area for your dates and recommend enough time for a rewarding safari whether or not a crossing occurs.

04

Is Tanzania suitable for families?

Yes. Private vehicles, sensible pacing and the correct room configuration make a significant difference. Minimum ages vary for walking and some camps, so we check the detail for each family.

05

Is Tanzania suitable for a honeymoon?

Yes. Small safari camps combine naturally with Zanzibar, Pemba or Fanjove. We prioritise privacy, pace and a good seasonal match rather than relying on standard honeymoon extras.

06

How far ahead should we book?

For July to October, the festive season and small migration camps, nine to twelve months is sensible and sometimes longer. Other months can offer more flexibility, but the best-positioned camps still have limited rooms.

07

Are domestic flights included?

Our proposals clearly show the scheduled flights, transfers, park fees and activities included. International flights, visas, insurance and tips are normally separate unless stated otherwise.

08

Do we need a visa or vaccinations?

Entry and health requirements depend on nationality, routing and personal circumstances and can change. We provide practical pre-departure guidance, but you should confirm current official advice and consult a qualified medical professional.
