July to October and the festive period command the highest rates. Mobile migration camps, fly-in southern or western circuits, private vehicles and premium room categories also increase the cost. Travelling in November, early December or the greener months can provide better value, but weather and camp closures need careful consideration.
A clear proposal should distinguish accommodation, meals, park fees, conservation charges, scheduled flights, road transfers and activities. International flights, visas, travel insurance, tips and some premium drinks are normally separate. We show the assumptions rather than hiding them inside one figure.
Spend first on location, guiding and enough time in each area. A well-positioned camp can reduce long drives and place you close to the wildlife experience that matters in that season. Expensive architecture is less valuable if the route itself is weak.
